Through New Groove’s membership, students and families receive a holistic learning experience that encompasses our core values of creativity, collaboration, and community everyday in our studio. Our membership provides the important components of becoming a thriving musician: one-on-one private lessons, group classes, collaboration and discussion with other musicians, performing for peers and community, and being a part of a community of interactive and engaged musicians.

Yes! All students’ first lesson is a Meet & Greet Lesson, where you’ll get to know what New Groove is all about, and we’ll show you how we can set you up to be a thriving musician!

All students’ first lesson is a Meet & Greet Lesson, where you and a teaching artist will go over your dreams and goals in music and some one-on-one instruction in the instrument or your choice. At the end of the lesson, you’ll receive a musical map that shows you the ways New Groove can help guide you towards those goals in you musical development!

Our membership is the main way we provide music education to students across the country. However, we also offer music programs for schools, have performances for the community, and open up some group classes and events to non-members. Once we talk with you about your musical goals over the phone, we’ll find you the right teaching artist and set you up with our Meet & Lesson so you can see what we’re all about!

We encourage and accept all levels, learners, and ages. When considering if you or your child is ready to join us, consider if you have the time and commitment to weekly instruction and at least 4 days a week of practice time. Musical growth is only achieved with the time to practice and grow!

Yes! We encourage and accept all levels, learners, and ages. Our Teaching Artists are professionally trained musicians with university training of the highest levels.

Our teachers are active performers with a passion for teaching! We hire univeristy-trained musicians ONLY. Our teaching artists use their creative skills and passion to invigorate students to find their own artistic voices. Additionally, our entire team meets each week to discuss ways we can collaborate as a community to all learn and share music together!

We currently offer: piano lessons, voice lessons, electric guitar lessons, acoustic guitar lessons, banjo lessons, ukelele lessons, trumpet lessons, flute lessons, saxophone lessons, tuba lessons, bassoon lessons, horn lessons, clarinet lessons, and oboe lessons. Students can take lessons in multiple instruments.

Our group classes range from musical theory, listening skills classes, practice methods, cultural music classes, and more! We tailor classes to our teachers’ expertise, students’ interests’, and community needs. If you have a class in mind, let us know!

Our membership program provides guaranteed, consistent engagement and learning materials for every student. Our all-inclusive membership provides ample flexibility, so students do not have to reschedule lessons to receive quality instruction and continual growth. Reschedules of private lessons are not permitted, but weekly educational value is more than available to all of our students at all times!

We’ve partenered with TeacherZone to provide the most amazing virtual platform for our students! TeacherZone is our online hub for music learning, practice assisgnments, studio discussions, scheduling, and billing. The unique features connect our community together to learn, collaborate, and simply share passions and questions with others. Through this collaboration and community building, we believe student’s creativity will bloom! We offer free training in your first month of your membership to ensure you are comfortable using the platform.

Your membership continues to work for you, even through arising conflicts. If you must miss a lesson, your teacher will provide a personalized online lesson for continued musical growth and consistent learning.

If your teacher misses a lesson, New Groove guarantees that you will receive the necessary content to maintain weekly musical growth. A lesson with a different teacher, a recorded lesson, or access to a musical course that is right for the students’ interest and level, are the various ways that weekly consistency may be achieved.

New Groove accepts credit card and direct deposit and have convenient auto-billing through our secure virtual platform. We do not accept cash, check, Venmo, or PayPal.
