A Special Giveback Event Through Kendra Scott Jewelry

Kendra Scott, a fellow women-owned business, has chosen New Groove for a special “giveback” event, as a way to recognize our wonderful community of young musicians, showcase our talented students and their teachers, and celebrate our overall mission to create a place where creativity, community, and collaboration thrive for all! We are very excited and honored for the 3-day event across our Philadelphia and Pittsburgh studios.

So what is our mission all about?

At New Groove, we believe in providing students with access to the important (and fun) tools and resources for being a musician. Unlike most music studios, where students sit in a room by themselves and practice scales and techniques with a teacher, our program offers ample opportunity for students to truly engage and interact with music on a daily basis. When students have the opportunity to engage with music on their own time, students truly have the opportunity to become independent and creative musicians.

In addition to daily support through our online portal, chat, and interactive practice assignments, we also facilitate access to performance opportunities out in the community. While many music studios have isolated performances with limited access, our students perform in safe yet accessible locations where their friends, family, and the greater community can benefit from their talents!

Tell me about this event?

This event with Kendra Scott Jewelry is the perfect example of showing students the joy of sharing their talents with others! During this event, students will be able to perform some of their favorite and most recent songs and pieces, meet and greet their supportive audience, listen to their talented peers and teachers, and most importantly, have fun and connect with others through the joy of music!

The special events will take place on Friday 12/10 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Kendra Scott store in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA, and also on Sunday 12/12 from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Kendra Scott store in Ardmore, PA.

20% of any purchases made in-store or online (with code GIVEBACK-ARULB) from Friday 12/10 through Sunday 12/12 will benefit the New Groove community, helping us create more opportunities and experiences for our amazing students!

Can’t make the events, but still want to support our students?

Even our virtual students and our supporters who are miles away can still support New Groove music students through this giveback event. Simply use the code GIVEBACK-ARULB at checkout on the Kendra Scott website, and 20% will go to New Groove!

How will New Groove use the money raised from the event?

Our students have some awesome goals and ideas they want to achieve in our studio, from performing a senior recital for some of our high schoolers, to working with Broadway actors, to creating professional recordings of their music. The funds raised from the event will allow us to make some of these creative visions and goals possible for our students!

We are currently a small but mighty group of musicians with a desire to make fun and meaningful music experiences for ourselves and those around us. Funds like these truly help our students go from “music student” to “music STAR!”
